Masrour Barzani Receives Special Adviser to the Iraqi Prime Minister

ARK News.. Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Bakr al-Samarrai, the special adviser to Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi, on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government in order to resolve outstanding issues between the two sides based on the Iraqi Constitution.

Another part of the meeting focused on discussions regarding preparations for the anticipated visit of the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister to Baghdad.
