Iran Threatens to Expand the Scope of War Beyond the Middle East

ARK News.. Iran has threatened to expand the scope of the war beyond the Middle East if the United States attacks it again, after U.S. President Donald Trump said he was “one hour away” from resuming military operations.

According to Iranian state media, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement:

“We have not yet used all the capabilities of the Islamic Revolution against them, but if aggression against Iran is repeated, the promised regional war will this time extend beyond the region, and our crushing strikes will hit you in places you cannot imagine, and we will make you taste humiliation.”

Trump said on Monday and again on Tuesday that he came very close to ordering a new military campaign against Iran but postponed the decision at the last moment to allow more time for diplomatic efforts.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Tuesday, Trump stated:

“I was one hour away from making the decision to launch the attack today.”

Iran has repeatedly threatened to retaliate against any future attacks by targeting countries in the Middle East that host American military bases. On Wednesday, Tehran also indicated that it could strike targets beyond the region.
