Abdul Rahman Apo: Four of the founders of the first Kurdish political organization in Syria were from Afrin
ARK News: A member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party -Syria, Abdul Rahman Apo, said that the party managed to maintain its presence for 62 years from the establishment of the first Kurdish political party in Syria, and that the PDK-S is a continuation of that organization which was founded in 1957.
Apo added in a special statement to ARK News on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the founding of the party that four of the founders of the party in 1957 were from Afrin region and they are Rashid Hamo, Dr. Khalil Mohammed, Shawkat Na’asan and Mohammed Ali Khoja.
Abdul Rahman Apo, who was arrested several times by the Democratic Unionist Party in Afrin, said that the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria is one of the holders of the banner of the Kurdish national project headed by Masoud Barzani.
