ARK News.. Informed sources revealed that Syria will participate as a guest at the upcoming G7 Summit in France next month, represented by President Ahmad al-Sharaa, marking the country’s first participation of its kind since the group was founded in 1975.

According to “RT Arabic,” the invitation to President al-Sharaa was delivered by hand to Syrian Finance Minister Mohammad Yussir Barniya, who took part in the group’s financial talks held in Paris this week. The summit is scheduled to take place from June 15 to 17 in Évian-les-Bains in southeastern France.

According to the source, Damascus’ participation will focus on its potential role as a strategic hub for supply chains amid the repercussions of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
