An observer from Turkish Kurdistan for ARK: The PYD administration is pursuing a hostile policy towards the Kurds
ARK News... A Kurdish politician from Kurdistan Turkey, on Saturday, December 16, 2022, said that the Kurds in Syrian Kurdistan, whether in the areas controlled by Turkey or the SDF, have become a minority due to the processes of systematic demographic change, and the Kurds must cling to their cities.
Zana Sazin, the Kurdish politician, and representative of the Party of Rights and Freedoms in the Kurdistan Region HAK PAR said during his participation in the ARK newsletter: Erdogan's goal in meeting Assad is to agree on hostility to the Kurdish cause in Syria, and Turkey seeks to change the demography of Syrian Kurdistan, in Afrin there are 20- only 30 percent of the Kurds, knowing that the Kurds were 98 percent there, and in other areas, under the control of the SDF there is also a demographic change, and the Kurds have become a minority, so the Kurdish people must remain attached to the land of their fathers and grandfathers.
He indicated that the administration of the PYD and PKK pursued a hostile policy towards the Kurds, and they must work in service of the Kurds and return to the Kurdish home, work in partnership with other Kurdish parties, and intensify diplomatic and political efforts, because the time for militarization is over, according to him.
Regarding the Iranian position on the Turkish military operation, he emphasized that Iran opposes the military operation and does not want to expand Turkish influence because that contradicts the Iranian project in the region, such as the Shiite Crescent project. Nevertheless, negotiations between the warring parties in Syria are continuing.
At the end of his speech, he said that Turkey's provocative statements and practices are only in favor of the upcoming elections, as it exploits Russia's preoccupation with the Ukrainian war because it - Turkey - is the only outlet for Russia, so Russia is forced to sit at the negotiating table with Turkey, and the Kurds have nothing but to cling to the ground and intensify efforts in joint action.
