Dmitry Polanski, Russia's first deputy representative to the United Nations, announced that Moscow had requested a Security Council session on October 31 against the backdrop of the Ukrainian attack on the ships participating in the "food deal."

"Against the background of the October 29 attack by Ukraine on the ships of the Black Sea Fleet participating in ensuring the security of ships transporting Ukrainian grain in the framework of the so-called Black Sea Initiative, the Permanent Mission of Russia to the United Nations notified the Secretary-General that Russia would suspend its participation in it," Polanski said.

He continued, "We also requested a meeting of the UN Security Council on this issue on Monday, October 31."

Earlier that day, the Russian Defense Ministry revealed that the Kyiv regime carried out a terrorist attack on the ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian ships in Sevastopol, using drones.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that British specialists were directly involved in carrying out the terrorist attack at dawn that day on Black Sea ships in the port of Sevastopol.
