ARK News... Two Kurdish activists on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, confirmed that the cities of Hasaka and Kobani in Syrian Kurdistan are witnessing a dangerous phenomenon, in light of the lack of services and the ongoing crises that afflict the two cities.

Journalist Ziwar Al-Ahmad, who is from Kobani, said in exclusive statements to ARK: The city witnesses the daily exodus of dozens of Kurdish families and young men, seeking asylum in neighboring countries to escape the lack of services and in search of a safe and better life.

The Kurdish journalist added: The Kurdish families are selling their property in order to get out of Kobani. In the past few months, thousands of young men went to Turkey, Lebanon, the Kurdistan Region, and other countries to escape from forced conscription and the disastrous results of the lack of services.

For his part, Kurdish activist Fathi Derbas, speaking about the situation in the city of Hasaka, said: The crises are continuing in the city, especially the continuous water cuts, the deterioration of bread quality, the fuel and electricity crisis, in addition to unemployment and the drop in the price of the Syrian pound against the US dollar.

Derbas pointed out: These crises reflect negatively on the people in the city, so the people take the initiative to sell their properties in order to seek refuge in other countries.

The activist stressed: That humanitarian organizations and officials of the PYD administration do not care about the pain and suffering of civilians, calling for a solution to the crises because continuity will lead to a real disaster, according to the activist.
