The Supreme Committee to Combat Corona in the Kurdistan Region issues new decisions

The Supreme Committee to Combat Corona Virus in the Kurdistan Region Tuesday issued a number of strict decisions to limit the high rate of epidemic infections after the spread of the “Delta” mutant in the region.

Regional Government spokesman d. Jotyar Adel, said in a press conference: "The Supreme Committee to Combat Corona Virus has issued a number of new decisions, which are as follows:

1- Workers in markets, restaurants, hotels, cafes, cafeterias, mosques, and places of worship must be vaccinated with anti-virus vaccines, and those who are not vaccinated must conduct a corona examination every 72 hours, and the competent committees will follow up on them.

2- All KRG employees must take the anti-Corona vaccine while continuing to wear masks, even for vaccinated people.

3- No tourist is allowed to enter the Kurdistan Region if he has not received the vaccine or has an examination that proves his safety, and that the examination period does not exceed 48 hours.

4- Banning all gatherings, seminars, and conferences, and visiting cemeteries, and any party that does not comply will face legal punishment.

5- Places of worship, swimming pools, and sports halls will remain open, provided that health instructions are implemented.

6- Cinema halls will remain closed, in addition to closing event halls, and prohibiting the holding of funeral ceremonies, and anyone who violates exposes himself to legal accountability.

7- Granting powers to the governorates to tighten procedures.

8- These decisions will be valid for a week, and the Higher Committee will meet on 3-8-2021 again to assess the situation in the region.
