ARK News.. In a bid to enhance economic and trade relations, Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, is set to host a two-day economic summit titled the "Erbil–Turkeys–Azerbaijan Friendship Summit."

According to Kurdistan24, Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Gelan Haji Saeed said the summit's primary objective is to strengthen economic relations and foster coordination in logistics and trade exchange.

Haji Saeed noted that between 250 and 300 business leaders, economic figures, and senior government officials from the three sides are expected to participate in the event.

He added that Azerbaijan has shown considerable interest in expanding its relations with the Kurdistan Region, which prompted the organization of the summit. He explained that the conference will focus primarily on the manufacturing and industrial sectors, with the aim of broadening opportunities for foreign investment in the region.

The summit is scheduled to run for two days. The first day will feature plenary sessions and discussions on exploring new business opportunities, while the second day will include field visits by commercial delegations to factories, industrial facilities, and historical sites in Erbil, allowing participants to gain first-hand insight into the capabilities of the Kurdistan Region's private sector.

The Erbil Chamber of Commerce views the initiative as a step toward facilitating direct contracts and agreements between local business leaders and their counterparts from neighboring countries and the wider region, contributing to increased economic activity and market growth in the Kurdistan Region.
