Syrian Energy Ministry Begins Distribution of More Than 7 Million Liters of Gasoline Across Governorates
ARK News.. The Syrian Ministry of Energy announced the start of the distribution of 7.32 million liters of gasoline from the distribution centers in Baniyas and Homs to governorates across the country on Sunday, July 5, 2026, as part of its ongoing daily fuel distribution program.
In a statement published through its official platforms, the Ministry said that a total of 305 supply orders had been scheduled, with each order consisting of 24,000 liters, in an effort to replenish fuel station inventories and meet gasoline demand across the country's governorates.
The Ministry also confirmed that the companies and institutions responsible for the fuel sector continue to carry out supply and distribution operations in accordance with the approved plan. It added that, under the direct supervision of Energy Minister Eng. Mohammad Al-Bashir, the Ministry is monitoring fuel distribution on the ground around the clock to ensure rapid delivery to fuel stations and the uninterrupted flow of supplies.
The Ministry noted that some fuel stations had experienced congestion and temporary shortages over the past few days due to an unprecedented surge in demand, placing additional pressure on stations despite the uninterrupted continuation of fuel supply operations.
It added that, in coordination with the relevant authorities, efforts are underway to increase the quantities dispatched to all governorates in line with rising demand and to accelerate the delivery of fuel tankers to stations under the daily distribution plan.
The Ministry called on citizens to refuel only when there is an actual need and to avoid panic buying, stressing that fuel supplies remain uninterrupted and that public cooperation will help ease pressure on fuel stations and improve the efficiency of the distribution process.
