ARK News.. A Syrian source close to President Ahmed al-Sharaa has revealed that talks between Syria and Israel on a security agreement have made significant progress in recent weeks, raising the possibility that an accord could be signed in the near future.
According to the Israeli channel i24NEWS, citing a Syrian source, the latest breakthrough is attributed to substantial efforts by U.S. President Donald Trump. The source noted that the prospective
agreement is expected to include a diplomatic annex and could be finalized during a high-level Syrian–Israeli meeting in a European country in the near future.
The source added that it does not rule out the possibility that the agreement could be signed during a direct meeting between President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The reported developments come amid intensified diplomatic activity aimed at reshaping security arrangements between the two sides, following years of indirect contacts and regional mediation efforts.
