225 civilians killed and tens of thousands displaced in Idlib

ARK News: The "Syria Response Coordinators" team said that more than 38,615 families (303,709) people from Idlib countryside have been displaced, while the number of deaths reached 225 civilians, including 74 children, between early November and December 21.

A statement of the Response Coordinators team said that the displaced people were distributed in more than 33 towns within the northwestern regions of Syria, and areas of the Euphrates Shield and Afrin.

The statement called on all international actors and bodies to work to stop violations and hostilities by the regime and its Russian ally in the region, and to take immediate and serious measures to stop these attacks, the statement as well as called civil activities that are being displaced to their regions, contributing to alleviating the suffering of the displaced and the migrants.

The statement pointed out that the continuation of military operations in the northwestern regions of Syria will leave more IDPs intensively, in conjunction with the humanitarian difficulties facing the northwestern regions of Syria, especially in the border camps that have reached their maximum absorptive capacity.

The Response Coordinators team confirmed that it seeks through its field working teams on the ground to document the humanitarian needs of the displaced and contribute with other parties in documenting crimes and violations against the civilian population in those areas.
