Campaign in Swaida to prevent the purchase of stolen items from Daraa
ARKNews: Activists and residents of the city of Swaida launched a campaign on social networking sites calling for a halt to the purchase of stolen items from areas controlled by Syrian regime forces in Daraa governorate.
Activists in the province of Swaida, said, on Sunday, that the stolen materials reached the western villages of the province and did not reach its center.
Activists called for boycotting looted and stolen goods and fighting "barricades" blocking roads and taking money by force from civilians from Daraa.
Sheikh Rakan Al-Atrash, the spiritual leader of the “Al-Karama Movement” in Swaida, said that any spoils sold on the region were "forbidden" to the seller and the buyer. He added that the displaced from Daraa governorate were "guests", "He said.
Syrian forces took over large areas of Daraa in the past few days, especially in the eastern countryside, where they made progress at the expense of the armed factions, some of which withdrew to the center and west of the province.
It is noteworthy that when Afrin occupied by Turkish Army with the cooperation of armed groups affiliated to them, these groups carried out extensive looting of property of citizens, in addition to kidnapping and detention for the purpose of extortion and transferred these materials to both Turkey and the city of Izaz. The looting and thefts still continue by these groups before the eyes of Turkish Army.
