Al-Sharaa and bin Salman Discuss Support for Regional Stability
ARK News.. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud discussed relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia and ways to develop them in a manner that serves their mutual interests.
The meeting took place in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. The two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the region.
They also discussed a number of issues of common interest that could contribute to supporting security and stability in the region.
Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa arrived in Riyadh earlier on Tuesday to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Al-Sharaa was accompanied by Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani as part of an official visit that had not been announced in advance.
Upon his arrival, al-Sharaa was received by Riyadh Region Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz.
