Below is the full text of the statement:

On the eighteenth of March, we mark the sixth anniversary of the control of the Turkish forces and their affiliated armed factions, which are part of the National Coalition, over the city of Afrin and its affiliated towns and villages.

Since then, its original Kurdish children have been subjected to many serious violations by some of those armed factions there, violating the principles and goals of the Syrian revolution, as they cut down trees, impose taxes, seize the property of absentees, and place obstacles to the return of its residents, especially the Shih region, which has not been done yet. Deter her.

All of these practices and violations were monitored by all concerned parties and international humanitarian and human rights organizations, which published documented reports proving this and considered them a clear violation of the Charter of the United Nations and international law.

Despite the formation of civil bodies, local councils, and civil police that were recently appointed to maintain security, they were unable to stop the violations and hold the perpetrators accountable.

The Kurdish National Council in Syria condemns these ongoing violations against our people in Afrin and its areas, and calls on Turkey, the coalition, and the interim government to put an end to these violations and stop them immediately, hold their perpetrators accountable, and remove those armed groups from cities, villages, and towns, to their own places, prevent weapons chaos, and facilitate the return of Its residents, return their property, and hand over its management to its original inhabitants.

We also call on the international community to activate the political process in Syria for a comprehensive political solution to the Syrian crisis in accordance with UN Resolution 2254, which all Syrians are waiting for to end their suffering and to build a federal, democratic, multi-national, multi-cultural and multi-religious Syria whose constitution guarantees the national rights of all components of the Syrian people.

We call on all national democratic forces and the Syrian people with all their components to unite their efforts in confronting violations and inhuman practices across all Syrian territory, and to work to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Syrian crisis that ends the suffering of the Syrian people and achieves their aspirations for freedom and democracy.
