ARK News.. U.S. embassies across the Middle East have issued a security alert urging American citizens to exercise extreme caution amid Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and concerns over a wider escalation of regional tensions.

The U.S. State Department warned that hostilities could escalate rapidly beyond the current geographic scope of the conflict, potentially disrupting air travel through airspace closures, flight cancellations, and widespread travel disruptions.

The security advisory covered U.S. citizens in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Israel, and the city of Jerusalem.

The advisory urged Americans currently in the region or planning to travel there to monitor updates from airports and airlines closely and prepare alternative emergency plans in case of sudden developments.

U.S. diplomatic missions also warned that Iran and groups aligned with it could target U.S.-linked interests and locations around the world, including American companies and institutions both within and outside the region.
