ARK News.. Under the auspices of the Jazira Diocese of the Evangelical Christian Alliance Church, an expanded dialogue meeting was held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Zana Hall in Qamishlo, under the slogan “Civil Peace Is Everyone’s Responsibility.”

The meeting brought together a wide range of political, social, and community representatives from the region in an effort to promote a culture of coexistence and strengthen social stability amid the rapid changes unfolding in Syria and the wider region.

The gathering was attended by representatives of Kurdish and Arab tribes, the Kurdish National Council in Syria, and several Kurdish political parties, as well as Christian organizations and figures, religious leaders, and representatives of the Yazidi community. The diverse participation reflected a collective commitment to strengthening dialogue among all components of society.

The program included a series of speeches emphasizing the importance of promoting a culture of civil peace and strengthening ties among the people of the region despite their diverse backgrounds. Speakers stressed that preserving stability and protecting coexistence is a shared national responsibility that cannot be entrusted to any one party alone.

Participants also stressed the need to overcome differences and embrace dialogue and mutual understanding in order to strengthen social cohesion and enable the community to confront current challenges. They emphasized that coexistence among Kurds, Arabs, Christians, Yezidis, and other components is not merely an option but an essential necessity for sustaining peace.

The discussions further underscored the importance of working toward a unified Syria that embraces its ethnic, religious, and sectarian diversity and guarantees equal rights for all its components, free from exclusion and marginalization, and founded on justice, full citizenship, and genuine partnership.

The delegation of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, headed by Mohammed Ismail, participated in the meeting.
