ARK News.. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces targeted command centers, communications networks, coastal surveillance sites, and other military facilities during the thirteenth consecutive night of strikes against Iranian military targets.

In a statement, CENTCOM said that at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time on July 23, U.S. forces struck Iranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communications networks, coastal surveillance positions, and naval capabilities as part of ongoing efforts to further reduce the threat posed by Iran to civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM added that the international waterway remains open to maritime traffic despite recent attacks carried out by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The command further stated that commercial vessels continue to transit the strait freely under U.S. military protection, noting that more than 50,000 U.S. troops are currently deployed across the Middle East.
