Kurdistan Democratic Party Declares Full Support for Anti-Corruption Campaign

ARK News.. The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) bloc in the Iraqi Council of Representatives has announced its full support for the recent legal measures taken by the Iraqi government, in coordination with the judiciary and oversight institutions, to pursue those involved in financial and administrative corruption cases.

The full statement reads as follows:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

We announce our support for and welcome the legal measures taken by the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mr. Ali Faleh al-Zaidi, in cooperation and coordination with the judiciary and government institutions, as part of the campaign to combat corruption and arrest those involved in corrupt practices. We hope that this campaign will not be limited to Baghdad alone but will extend to all Iraqi provinces and cities.

In this regard, we emphasize the importance of full coordination between the executive and judicial authorities to ensure the success of this campaign.

Based on our national responsibility, we declare our full readiness to provide all forms of cooperation and support, whether at the level of the federal government or local administrations in the provinces, in a manner that contributes to supporting the efforts of the executive and judicial authorities to uncover the truth and uphold the rule of law. Citizens deserve honest governance and the restoration of the rights that have been squandered. Guided by this principle, we reaffirm our full support for taking legal action against every corrupt individual, without any discrimination.
