ARK News.. A series of powerful explosions shook the Iranian capital Tehran and its surrounding areas following an intensive Israeli airstrike.

According to local sources, the wave of bombardment began at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026, and continued until 4:45 a.m. local time, targeting multiple locations including Tehran, Karaj, Pardis, and Damavand.

Sources reported that the power of the explosions was intense enough to shake buildings and homes, with eyewitnesses describing shattered windows and structural damage to nearby properties.

Preliminary information suggests that the strikes targeted the “Meythami” and “Haydar Karrar” military bases in the Damawand area, in addition to facilities linked to Iran’s aerospace industries in western Tehran.

The attacks were also accompanied by widespread power outages across parts of the affected areas.

The Israeli Army confirmed responsibility for the operation, stating that it carried out a series of “precise and intensive” airstrikes targeting military headquarters, bases, and infrastructure facilities in Tehran and other areas across Iran.
