Names of the One-Third of Syria's People's Assembly Appointed by Ahmad al-Sharaa

ARK News.. The Chairman of the Higher Committee for the People's Assembly Elections, Mohammad Taha al-Ahmad, announced the names of the members of Syria's People's Assembly, including the one-third of members appointed by Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa in accordance with his constitutional powers.

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the People's Assembly headquarters in Damascus on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Al-Ahmad stated that the list of appointed members reflects loyalty to the sacrifices of the Syrian people, noting that it includes relatives of martyrs and survivors of detention centers and chemical attacks, in addition to a distinguished group of academics, experts, professionals, community leaders, and national figures known for their experience, integrity, and public service.
