Duhok: Former PKK members found dead with silenced handgun
ARK News.. Kurdistan media sources have reported the murder of a young man and his wife, both former PKK members, in Faida town, Duhok province, in the Kurdistan Region.
According to BassNews, the victims were identified as Jano Rezan Haftaro, originally from Afrin in Syrian Kurdistan, and his wife, from Chaldiran in Iranian Kurdistan.
The couple had defected from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) two years ago, married officially, and settled in Duhok, where they had a two-month-old child.
The couple was found dead in their apartment in the War City complex, having been shot with a silenced handgun.
Authorities have initiated a wide-ranging investigation to apprehend the perpetrators and have transferred the bodies to forensic services in Duhok.
