Syrian Authorities: Detained Cell Responsible for Damascus Defense Ministry Bombing
ARK News.. Syrian authorities announced that investigations with members of a recently arrested terrorist cell have confirmed their responsibility for the bombing of the Directorate of Armament building at the Ministry of Defense in Damascus last May.
According to the authorities, the suspects confessed during questioning that they carried out the attack with the aim of targeting public institutions, undermining security and stability, and spreading chaos among civilians.
The authorities added that investigations are ongoing to identify all individuals involved in or assisting the cell, in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures against them.
The bombing took place in May, when the Directorate of Armament building at the Ministry of Defense in Damascus was targeted, causing material damage. The relevant authorities launched an investigation at the time to determine the circumstances of the attack and identify those responsible.
