ARK News.. An official at the Barzani Charity Foundation stated that fighting in Aleppo’s neighborhoods has led to the return of 25,000 families to Afrin, while 1,200 other families have been displaced within central Aleppo. He added that the foundation’s teams are providing hot meals and daily healthcare services to patients.

Speaking to Kurdistan24, Rawaj Haji, a member of the Administrative Board of the Barzani Charity Foundation, said: “As a result of the military confrontations in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya neighborhoods, more than 1,200 families have been displaced and are currently sheltering in five locations in central Aleppo. At the same time, more than 25,000 families—around 130,000 people—have returned to Afrin and its surrounding villages.”

Haji noted that the Barzani Charity Foundation has opened a center to provide food and hot meals for the displaced, effectively addressing food needs. He added that the foundation’s medical teams are visiting displaced families to provide medical treatment and psychological support.

He also pointed out that citizens, companies, and organizations can contribute to assisting Aleppo residents and displaced families via a designated bank account, which will be announced tomorrow.

On behalf of the foundation, Haji expressed gratitude to the people of Afrin for opening their homes and doors to receive the displaced and provide them with shelter.
