The following is the text of the obituary:

The European Leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria mourns to you with great sadness and sorrow the fighter Mohammed Saleh Khalil, a former member of the Political Bureau, who passed away on Saturday 27/7/2024, in a hospital in Solingen city, Germany, due to a recent health problem.

May our deceased rest in eternal paradise, and may all those who knew him of members and supporters of the party and the immortal Barzani approach in Afrin and all of Syrian Kurdistan have patience and solace.

Muhammad Saleh Khalil was born in 1953 in the village of Naza - Afrin. He joined the party early and engaged in organizational work in Afrin and Aleppo. He was a young man who served his people and their just cause. He was persecuted and imprisoned by the security services many times, but he was always an example of a steadfast fighter. He never hesitated to do everything in his power to achieve the party’s goals, armed with the Kurdish approach, the immortal Barzani approach in struggle, sacrifice and loyalty. This approach was the one that the deceased was loyal to until his death.

The deceased had a calm personality, great wisdom, and a high sense of responsibility. He always gained the love and trust of his comrades, and was elected many times over the course of three decades as a member of the Central Committee. He was also elected as a member of the party’s Political Bureau at the tenth conference (June 1, 2007). The deceased remained a reference and support for his comrades until his death, thus ending a long struggle that extended from Afrin, Kobani and its villages, to Al-Jazeera and its plains.
