Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria Congratulates KDP on Its 80th Anniversary

ARK News.. The Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria (KDP-S) sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).

Below is the text of the KDP-S congratulatory message:

His Excellency, the Struggling President Masoud Barzani,

Dear Comrades, Members of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party,

Revolutionary greetings, accompanied by the highest expressions of appreciation and respect.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of your longstanding party, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, on August 16, 1946, and coinciding with the birthday of His Excellency, the Struggling President Masoud Barzani, we extend to you, on behalf of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party—Syria, and on behalf of all the leaders, cadres, and members of our party, our warmest congratulations and sincerest greetings, wishing you and your brotherly party continued progress, success, and victory in the struggle for the rights of our Kurdish people and its just cause.

The coincidence of the anniversary of the founding of this great national struggle institution with the birthday of President Masoud Barzani is not merely a coincidence in time. Rather, it is an occasion that carries deep symbolism and great meaning in our hearts, as if it were the birth of a blessed twin of hope, bringing together the birth of a party that carried the banner of the Kurds and Kurdistan for many decades and the birth of a leader whose name has been associated with struggle, pride, and the defense of the will and rights of his people.

For eight decades, the Kurdistan Democratic Party has been a school of struggle and a towering fortress of the Kurdistan liberation movement. It has made countless sacrifices and offered caravans of martyrs for the freedom and dignity of our people and has remained faithful to the path of the immortal Barzani, upholding the Kurdish people's right to freedom, dignity, partnership, and a secure life in their homeland.

We in the Kurdistan Democratic Party–Syria, while taking pride in the deep fraternal and struggle-based ties that unite our two parties, affirm our appreciation for the historical role played by the Kurdistan Democratic Party and for the wisdom and vision represented by His Excellency President Masoud Barzani in defending the causes of our Kurdish people, strengthening Kurdish and Kurdistan-wide unity of ranks and positions, and consolidating the values of coexistence, peace, and stability.

On this glorious occasion, we extend our congratulations to His Excellency President Masoud Barzani, the leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, its leaders, cadres, grassroots members, and supporters, as well as the heroic Peshmerga and the families of the martyrs and all those who have struggled. We pray to God to protect His Excellency the President, grant him good health and a long life, enable the Kurdistan Democratic Party to continue its victorious path, and grant our Kurdish people the fulfillment of their legitimate aspirations for freedom, dignity, and rights.

Long live His Excellency President Masoud Barzani in health and well-being.

Long live the Kurdistan Democratic Party, stronger and more steadfast every year.
