Qamishlo: Retirees face many difficulties due to delays in receiving their financial entitlements.

ARK News.. Hundreds of retired employees in the city of Qamishlo are facing increasing difficulties in receiving their financial entitlements amid delays in salary payments and long hours of waiting at disbursement centers, as temperatures continue to rise.

According to statements from several retired employees, their suffering is not limited to the long queues. Some said they have not received their financial entitlements for more than eight months, worsening their living conditions and leading to the accumulation of daily obligations and expenses.

Employees said that waiting for hours in hot weather places an additional burden on them, particularly the elderly and those suffering from health problems, as they are forced to endure the conditions in the hope of receiving their overdue salaries.

The crisis is directly affecting the lives of employees and their families, particularly as the monthly salary represents the primary source of income for many of them, on which they rely to cover essential needs, including food, housing, transportation, medical treatment and education.

The employees are calling on the relevant authorities to urgently address the delays in salary payments and ensure the regular disbursement of their entitlements, in addition to organizing the payment process to reduce overcrowding and waiting times and allow them to receive their rights under more suitable conditions, particularly amid the continued rise in temperatures.
