President Barzani: The media and the press are effective tools for introducing the legitimate cause of the Kurdish people
ARK News… President Masoud Barzani, today, Monday, April 22, 2024, issued a statement in which he congratulated journalists on Kurdish Press Day, stressing that the media and journalism are effective tools for introducing the legitimate cause of the Kurdish people, and defending the identity and rights of the Kurdish people.
Below is the text of the congratulatory statement:
On the occasion of the 126th anniversary of the Kurdish press, and the 26th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate, I congratulate the journalists and media professionals of Kurdistan.
Journalists and media professionals carry a sacred and sensitive duty on their shoulders, which is to provide information, awareness, guidance and community development. In this regard, I call on dear journalists and media professionals in Kurdistan to carry out their duty professionally to convey the truth and enhance the culture and awareness of society and citizens.
The media and journalists in Kurdistan must always remember that the media and journalism are effective tools for introducing the legitimate cause of the Kurdish people, and defending the identity and rights of the Kurdish people, and at the same time they are tools for protecting their values and deepening the culture of peace, dignity and humanity.
