More than 200 cases of arbitrary detention were recorded in Syria during last April

ARK News… The Syrian Network for Human Rights revealed that at least 212 cases of arbitrary detention were recorded in Syria during the month of April.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights said that at least 212 cases of arbitrary arrest, “detention,” including two children and seven women were recorded throughout Syria, and 174 of them turned into cases of enforced disappearance.

According to the Syrian Network for Human Rights, kidnapping cases are as follows:

- 98 of the cases were at the hands of Syrian regime forces, including two women.

- 62 cases at the hands of the Syrian Democratic Forces, including 9 children and 3 women.

- 41 cases at the hands of all armed opposition factions, including two children and two women.

- 11 cases at the hands of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.

According to the network, the highest number of cases of arbitrary arrest was in Aleppo Governorate, followed by Deir Ez-Zour, followed by Damascus countryside, then Homs, then Damascus, then Idlib and Hasakah, then Daraa.
