Janez Lenarčić holds the Syrian regime responsible for the disintegration of the Syrian fabric
ARK News… The European Union Crisis Management Commissioner confirmed that “the Syrian fabric is disintegrating,” and the Syrian regime bears responsibility for that.
“The Syrian crisis has developed into one of the largest humanitarian crises and one of the largest refugee crises in the world,” said Janez Lenarčić, European Union Commissioner for Crisis Management, at the opening of the Dialogue Day activities of the 8th Brussels Conference on the Future of Syria and the Region.
Lenarčić expressed "tremendous frustration and sadness" due to the worsening situation in Syria every year and little progress being made towards finding a solution.
He added, "There is hope with the launch of the current conference, which provides undiminished determination and commitment to building a better Syria," stressing that the European Union "stands by the Syrians, and reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Syrians in the country and throughout the region."
