Cyprus detains 300 Syrian refugees at sea while heading to Europe

ARK News… On Tuesday, April 16, the Cypriot Coast Guard arrested 300 migrants holding Syrian nationality, approximately 50 nautical miles from Cyprus, after they left the Lebanese coast.

According to the sources, three illegal boats carrying Syrian immigrants were stopped by the Cypriot Coast Guard approximately 50 nautical miles from Cyprus.

The sources explained that the Cypriot forces prevented the boats from heading to the coast, stressing that until now the passengers are still at sea without determining their fate.

The sources pointed out that the migrants are in a state of confusion, as a result of the boat being stopped at sea, noting that the number of passengers reached about 300 people.
