Director of the Domis Water Corporation talks to ARK News about the water crisis

ARK News: By the summer, and with the increasing demand for water, the people of the Domiz refugee camp of the Syrian Kurds in Duhok province face a crisis in securing water, which is one of their most indispensable needs.

On this crisis, refugees explain the difficulties which facing them in securing water, as they are forced to buy water tanks almost daily and the price range between five to seven thousand Iraqi Dinars, which weighs heavily them and cannot afford to buy it, and they urge the concerned parties to find a quick solution to this problem without further exacerbating it.

For his part, the director Water Corporation in Domiz camp: The problem of lack of water in the camp begins with the beginning of each summer, especially with the water that comes from outside the camp. As for the water inside the camp, which belongs to the Foundation there is no problem, and on ways to deal with the crisis, he said that they are at a stage to develop the Foundation in order to accommodate more quantities of water and that this problem will be solved with the help of civic organizations and the UN headquarters in Domiz by the end of the seventh month
