Western source: Al-Assad received a warning from Israel to destroy his regime

ARK News... France Presse Agency said that Israel had issued a warning to the head of the Syrian regime, Bashar al-Assad, if he participated in the war in Gaza.

The agency quoted a Western diplomatic source as saying, “al-Assad received a clear warning from the Israelis that if Syria is used against them, they will destroy his regime.”

The Western diplomat added that al-Assad is moving away from the front, and hopes "particularly to get compensation for his self-restraint from the Arabs and Westerners, and the Russians are pushing him toward that."

In this context, Andrew Tabler, an analyst at the Washington Institute, said that Russia and the United Arab Emirates “urged him to stay out of the conflict” between Hamas and Israel.

On October 10 last year, the American website Axios said that the United Arab Emirates warned the Assad regime against interfering in the Gaza war.

Reuters also reported, at the beginning of this year, that Israel sent a threat to the president of the regime, Bashar al-Assad, via the Emirates, due to the transfer of Iranian weapons.

Sources familiar with the threat told the agency, “al-Assad himself did not encourage taking any action to support Hamas in Gaza, after he received threats from Israel.”

Since Israel's attack on Gaza in October last year, Israel has escalated its air strikes in Syria, against military sites belonging to Iranian militias.

This is not the first time that Western reports reveal that Tel Aviv is directing threats to Bashar al-Assad.
