ARK News… Syrian media sources revealed that Syrian regime forces launched a new raid and arrest campaign in the Houla area in the Homs countryside, targeting a number of young men who signed the “settlement” agreement.

Syrian media sources said that patrols from the military and political security branches of the Syrian regime raided the Houla area in the Homs countryside and arrested 4 young men who had previously signed the “settlement” agreement in 2018.

According to media sources, the security branches brought several charges against the young men, including (dealing in currencies other than the Syrian pound, receiving and delivering remittances from abroad, in addition to belonging to the factions during the period of their control over the region).

The sources added that the detainees were transferred to the city of Homs, amid fears of their absence, especially in light of the talk going on in the region about the regime’s intention to open the previous files and begin holding accountable all those who participated in the peaceful and military movement.

In mid-May 2018, regime forces took control of the Houla region as part of a “settlement” agreement that included the northern countryside of Homs and the southern countryside of Hama.
