ARK News… A Kurdish immigrant from the city of Kobani in Syrian Kurdistan went missing during his asylum journey to a European country, and his family is appealing to know his fate.

The family of the missing young man reported to ARK, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, that their son, Sheikh Nabi Muhammad Mustafa Rasoul, from the village of “Qinê” in the western countryside of Kobani city was lost in the forests of Bulgaria while he was trying to cross to Europe.

The source added that “Sheikh Nabi” and three of his relatives entered Turkey from the city of Kobani through smuggling 15 days ago, then they entered Bulgaria from Turkey 7 days ago, and four days ago they tried to cross to Europe through the forests of Bulgaria. The three relatives of “Sheikh Nabi” succeeded of crossing the forest, his fate remains unknown for four days.

The source added that the three survivors contacted them after crossing the forest and informed them of the news of the loss of “Sheikh Nabi” in the forest, and about the reasons for his loss. The source reported in the words of the migrants who survived: “The smuggler and his group separated us and forced us not to speak or move and to remain stationary in our places during the night.”
