ARK News… Hundreds of casualties occurred and tens of thousands were displaced in northwestern Syria following the Syrian regime's escalation of its attacks for the fifth day in a row.

According to Syrian local sources, from the fifth of this month until Monday morning, the number of deaths in the regime’s bombing of the Aleppo and Idlib countryside reached more than 49 people and the number of wounded reached more than 279, most of them women and children.

During the bombing, damage affected infrastructure, service facilities, and camps for displaced people. The Syrian Response Coordinators Team documented in a statement today that the regime targeted the region more than 198 times, bombing more than 61 cities and villages.

The team added that the regime used internationally banned weapons of various types more than six times during its bombing.

He added that the remnants of war resulting from the targeting caused several civilian casualties.

Regarding infrastructure, the team documented that the regime targeted more than 51 facilities, including more than 11 schools, 7 camps, and 15 medical facilities, in addition to other service centers.

During the escalation, the education and health sector was severely damaged. According to the “Syrian Response Coordinators,” the bombing deprived more than 400,000 students of education, and hospitals and medical points stopped working for general cases, depriving more than two million civilians of medical services.

The bombing caused a displacement movement from all the targeted areas, the largest of its kind in the region in several years, as the statement stated that the initial number of displaced people counted by field teams so far exceeded 78,709 displaced people from various regions.
