Two years since the departure of the Kurdish writer Muhammad Qasim Hussein
ARK News… Two years ago, the city of Derik and Syrian Kurdistan, on Monday, September 13, 2021, lost the writer and national figure, Muhammad Qasim Hussein, after he was infected with the Coronavirus.
The distinguished educator Muhammad Qasim departed after a career of scientific and cultural giving and serving an entire generation of students in the region’s schools.
A brief about his life:
In his previous writings, he was known as Ibn al-Jazira and later adopted his real name, Muhammad Qasim.
He holds a degree in philosophical and social studies from the University of Damascus in 1978.
He practiced teaching at the primary level based on an educational qualification: a certificate from the Public Teachers’ House.
- He moved to teaching at the secondary level based on his degree in philosophical and social studies.
He was a director in Derka Hamko’s cultural group for 11 years until his death.
He resigned from his job in 1993 and devoted himself to writing, writing for many Kurdish and Arab websites and newspapers.
He has a printed book about the immortal Barzani, “Biography and Journey.”
The Kurdish writer Muhammad Qasim Hussein was born in 1951 in the village of Ramila Sheikh in Derik, Syrian Kurdistan.
