From the documents of ARK... The names of the martyrs of the March Uprising in Afrin

ARK News... On the sixteenth of 2004, the spark of the March 12 uprising - which began in the city of Qamishlo - began in the city of Afrin, the Kurdish neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya in Aleppo, and Afrin presented seven of its sons as martyrs in Afrin and Aleppo.

On the anniversary of the Halabja massacre, thousands of Afrin residents gathered to stand a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs of the massacre, then it turned into a massive popular uprising as an extension of the uprising in Qamishlo. I denounced the regime's practices of killing innocent people in Qamishlo and other Kurdish cities. Demonstration and suppression of the uprising, seven people from Afrin were martyred in that uprising, two of them under torture.

The names of the martyrs of Afrin in the 2004 uprising, according to ARK documentation:

1- Hussein Hamo Naso, the mother's name is Fadhila (the mother is from the family of Hussein Haj Nasser). He was martyred under torture in Afrin. His place of residence is Afrin, Al-Zaidia neighborhood. He was buried secretly.

2- Givara Hamid Hasan, born in 1985. Mother’s name is Habiba, from the village of Hasan Dera. He was martyred in front of the Political Security Branch at the beginning of the uprising in Afrin. His place of residence is Afrin, Ashrafiya neighborhood.

3- Kamal Jalal, from the Qadim family (the Qadim tailor), was born in 1990 in the village of Bene in Sherawa. He was martyred in front of the Political Security Branch at the beginning of the uprising. His place of residence is Afrin, Rajo Road, the side street of Al-Rifiya School (Al-Orouba), opposite the old Faisal Qaddour School.

4- Ibrahim Muhammad Sabri, 1977, from the village of Badina, in the town of Mabata, was martyred in Aleppo. He was a bridegroom for forty days. His place of residence is Aleppo Ashrafiya.

5- Farida Ahmed, the mother's name is Zaynab, was martyred in Aleppo on the 16th of the month, in the village of Cholaqa, she was buried in the village of her husband, Miske, which is affiliated with the city of Jenderes, her place of residence is Aleppo, Sheikh Maqsoud.

6- Ari Fawzi Wilo, mother: Zakia, from the village of Qurt Qulaq, affiliated to Shara, where he lives in Aleppo.

7- Bakr Hanan Diko, from the village of Qasim Rajo, manner of martyrdom: under torture after the uprising 15-9-2004 charge: speaking against the Syrian regime.
