ARK News: With the start of the school year in the schools of the city of Afrin Kurdistan and its affiliated villages, the competent authorities decided to teach four hours of Kurdish language in schools, but the decision did not enter into implementation in some schools, thus in some schools the teaching hours reduced into the half only.

A teacher at an Afrin school - preferring not to reveal his name and school name for security reasons - told ARK News that the hours of teaching the Kurdish language had been reduced from four hours to two hours, which created the anger and resentment among Kurdish teachers.

The same teacher added that the Arab and Turkish authorities are working to reduce teachers in schools in order to cut the way for the largest number of teachers who want to recruit in schools to secure the livelihood of their family.
