An armed group demands half of the olive harvest for the owners outside of Afrin region
ARK News: An armed group demanded half of the olive harvest of the olive fields’ owners who are fled out of Afrin region because of war, despite their relatives have official documents from the Local Council which allowing them to give only 10% of the crop to the armed factions according to the decisions issued by the Local Council in Bulbul town of Kurdish Afrin.
A private source from Bulbul town told to ARK News that “Suqore el-Shamal faction who controlled the village of Qizil Pasha belonging to Bulbul town demanded half of the olive harvest from the non-residents of the village, despite the villagers took the power of attorney for their relatives to harvest the olive crop and according the official documents from the local council which allowing them to give only 15% of the harvest and not the half of it to the mentioned faction.”
It is noteworthy that the pro-Turkish army factions, which participated in the occupation of the city of Afrin, committed dozens of crimes against the people of the city and its countryside, killing, kidnapping and torture, along with looting and theft, burning agricultural crops and forests, the seizure of property of citizens, and the destruction of monuments and religious.
