Armed groups confiscate official papers regarding the olive harvest

ARK News: An armed group prevented Kurdish citizens from going to the olive fields belonging to their relatives, despite receiving official documents issued by the Local Council of Sharan town, regarding the harvest of the olive crop belonging to their relatives who fled away of Afrin region as a result of the war and have not been able to return.

A special source from Meydanky village told to ARK News that “elements belonging to Sultan Murad faction, in the village of Meydanky belonging to Shara town in Kurdish Afrin region yesterday, confiscated the official documents issued by the Local Council of Shara town for the villagers and prevented them from harvesting olive crops of their relatives, and one Kurdish citizen was prevented yesterday from continuing to harvest olive crop for his relatives according to official documents with him, in addition to confiscation of his own papers issued by the Local Council of Shara town."

According to a special source from Mabata town that “elements belonging to armed groups prevented Kurdish citizens from entering their olive fields in many villages of Jenderes and Mabata towns, despite obtaining their official documents from the Local Councils on the grounds that they should see one of the group's officials in Gauzy village, in turn, each village is forced to bring 500 containers of olive oil, otherwise the villagers cannot harvest their crops this year.

It is noteworthy that the pro-Turkish army factions, which participated in the occupation of the city of Afrin, committed dozens of crimes against the people of the city and its countryside, killing, kidnapping and torture, along with looting and theft, burning agricultural crops and forests, the seizure of property of citizens, and the destruction of monuments and religious.
