The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government directs to close all places of arms sales and confiscate all unlicensed weapons

ARK News... The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, on Thursday, directed the closure of all sites and places of arms sales in the region and the confiscation of all unlicensed weapons, so that they do not turn into a threat to the lives of citizens.

Masrour Barzani said in a statement: "Today I directed the Ministry of Interior to work to close all places of arms sales, and to confiscate any unlicensed weapons, so as not to pose any threat to the lives of citizens."

He added, "We will not make the security of our people and our country fall victim to saboteurs, smugglers, and opportunists. I also call on the citizens of Kurdistan to hand over their unauthorized weapons to the government and to participate in the process of purifying Kurdistan of these weapons."

He added, "The issue of dealing with weapons will be regulated later, according to the law."

The Prime Minister concluded his statement by saying, "I also call on the courts not to ignore and neglect the implementation of the law, and I assure you that we will support them in all ways."
