Jeffrey comments on Zarif's visit to Damascus and calls on Iran to adopt an order
ARK News.. The American special envoy on Syria, James Jeffrey, called on Iran to adopt a political solution instead of a military victory in Syria, pointing out that Iran's only contributions to Syria were violence and instability, in response to Zarif's visit to Damascus.
Geoffrey said in a statement posted on the account of the American embassy in Damascus on Twitter that "If Iran is really concerned about the health and safety of the Syrian people, it will support the political process led by the United Nations under Security Council Resolution 2254 and withdraw the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and Hezbollah and the rest of the other (terrorist forces) under its command are entirely from Syria.
Jeffrey pointed out that "the United States is the largest donor of humanitarian aid to the Syrian people, providing more than $ 10.6 billion in aid throughout Syria and the region since the crisis began, and continues to provide humanitarian assistance to prevent the outbreak of the Corona virus, according to his saying".
The US State Department had previously commented on the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to Damascus, wondering what kind of assistance has Tehran provided to the President of the Syrian regime, Bashar Al-Assad?
"Since 2012, the Iranian regime has provided more than $ 10 billion in people's money to Bashar al-Assad," State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortigas wrote in a Twitter post. The question that arises now is: How much of the looted money was given by the cities of the guide (Muhammad Jawad Zarif), to Damascus.
She added in a second tweet that "all that the Iranian regime has provided to Syria is violence and instability, pointing out that" if Tehran is genuinely concerned with the health and safety of the Syrian people, let the Revolutionary Guards and Hezbollah, and all the militias fighting under its command to withdraw from Syria.
