The mothers’ sit-in continues to demand the return of their children from the ranks of the PKK
ARK News: A group of mothers continues the sit-in in front of the headquarters of the Democratic People's Party in Amed to demand the return of their children from the ranks of the PKK.
The women's sit-in began on September 3, accusing the Peoples Party of involvement in the abduction of their children in order to join them in the ranks of the PKK.
Saliha Murat, the mother of the young Yatish, says she came from Istanbul to participate in the sit-in, pointing out that her son was kidnapped 4 years ago when he was 18 years old.
"They told me at first that he was killed in a clash, and when I demanded they said that his body was lost in the water, and ss I continued to search for him, they admitted that he was injured and did not kill and refused to reveal his whereabouts.
In Syrian Kurdistan, hundreds of young Kurdish men and women have been abducted over the decades to the Qandil Mountains, and all means of communication have been cut off with their families, and after several years of kidnapping, they declare the news of their martyrdom without any evidence and without even returning their bodies.
