ARK News: "The PKK and the Syrian regime belong to one school and cannot change their mentality," said Sheikh Hamaidi Daham al-Hadi, the head of the Syrian al-Shamar clan.

In an interview with the US Monitor interested on Middle East issues, published on 29.03.2019 Hadi said that "we are all Syrians and we all have rights. We have asked for the transfer of central authority since 1980, but if the administration is based on race, it will cause new wars. We do not need that”.

He added that both the PYD and its armed wing YPG could not achieve this without the PKK's approval. "Unfortunately, the PKK and the Syrian regime cannot change their mentality, they belong to the same school," he said.

Hamaidi Daham Al-Hadi was appointed as the joint head of the so-called Canton of al-Jazeera in the PYD administration, and his clan also has forces called “al-Sanadid” under the banner of Syria's Democratic militants, and he has recently toured Baghdad and Damascus, and the Russian Hamaimim base in Syria. Al-Hadi told Montour about the visit that it was aimed at stopping the war and sitting at the negotiating table, and that he was "ready to shake hands with Assad"
