KDP-Syria Leadership Delegation Offers Condolences to President Barzani

ARK News.. A delegation from the leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria (KDP-Syria) on Monday, September 7, 2026, offered condolences to President Masoud Barzani over the death of Abdul Wahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdul Salam Barzani, the eldest brother of the Barzani family.

The KDP-Syria delegation included Political Office members Dr. Abdel Hakim Bachar, Saeed Omar and Haji Kalo, along with Central Committee members Mohammed Ali Ibrahim, Sarhan Hassan, Mohammed Shirin Mohammed and Hanan Sido.

The delegation conveyed its deepest condolences and sympathy to President Masoud Barzani and the Barzani family over the passing of Abdul Wahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdul Salam Barzani, praying that God grant him mercy and give his family patience and strength.

Meanwhile, the second day of the condolence gathering for the late Abdul Wahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdul Salam Barzani began on Monday in the Pirmam area of Salahuddin Resort, in the presence of President Masoud Barzani.

The condolence gathering was attended by senior political and official figures, led by President Masoud Barzani, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, and Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani.

On September 5, 2026, the Political Office of KDP-Syria had also sent a letter of condolence to President Masoud Barzani, expressing its deepest sympathy over the death of Abdul Wahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdul Salam Barzani, the eldest brother of the Barzani family.
