ARK News.. The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation to President Masoud Barzani, commending his pivotal role in promoting stability in Syria and preserving the country’s unity and sovereignty.

President Barzani’s name was mentioned at the conclusion of an official statement issued by the Syrian government to clarify the nature of the security measures carried out in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya neighborhoods of Aleppo. The Syrian Foreign Ministry placed President Barzani’s name alongside major international actors (the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, France, the United Kingdom, and Qatar), affirming that his efforts had a “significant and effective” impact in advancing security and peace across the region.

The role played by President Masoud Barzani was clearly reflected in the language of the Syrian statement, as Damascus was keen to provide direct reassurances to the Kurdish component—an issue President Barzani has consistently emphasized, stressing the need to protect Kurds and guarantee their rights.
The statement underscored several points aligned with Barzani’s vision for stability, including: The Syrian government affirmed that its measures do not involve any demographic change and do not target any population group on ethnic grounds. It stressed that “the Kurdish community is an inseparable part of Aleppo’s social fabric,” describing Kurds as “active partners in national institutions.”
The government also announced the opening of safe humanitarian corridors and the establishment of advanced response points, indicating a commitment to the principles of the rule of law and non-discrimination.

This official Syrian recognition of President Barzani comes at a sensitive time, once again underscoring that President Masoud Barzani represents a political reference capable of building bridges of communication and safeguarding the rights of all components during the most complex crises. The Syrian Foreign Ministry considered that the understandings reached and the role he played directly contribute to preventing the fragmentation of the country and averting threats to regional security.

The Syrian ministry concluded its statement by emphasizing that restoring state authority and unifying the security track are essential conditions for stability, noting that the role played by President Barzani and the aforementioned international parties constitutes genuine support for the political process in Syria.
