Suwayda: Exchange of Fire Between Defense Forces and National Guard

ARK News.. A Syrian human rights source reported an escalation in the western countryside of Suwayda between Syrian government forces and the National Guard.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) stated on Friday, 28 November 2025, that forces affiliated with the Ministry of Defense and Public Security, stationed in the al-Mazra’a area, targeted the village of Al-Majdal in western Suwayda with sporadic gunfire.

According to SOHR, the National Guard returned fire at the sources of the attack, amid heightened tension in the area, with no reports of casualties so far.
