International organizations suspend their work in Al-Hawl camp
ARK News.. After two vehicles belonging to an international organization were subjected to an armed robbery on the Hasaka-Al-Hawl road, international and local humanitarian organizations suspended their work in the camp.
According to the Syria Channel website, the protection and security departments in several organizations decided to suspend some activities in Al-Hawl camp and cancel the transfer of employees to the camp after two vehicles carrying employees of international organizations were robbed by gunmen while heading to Al-Hawl camp.
The source confirmed that the road between the city of Hasaka and the town of Al-Hawl is witnessing continuous armed robberies and robberies targeting civilians, employees of organizations, and companies operating in the camp.
At around 6:00 am on Sunday, July 28, 2024, four gunmen on motorcycles intercepted a car carrying employees of Save the Children, a British non-governmental organization headquartered in London, while heading to Al-Hawl camp, located in areas controlled by the "Syrian Democratic Forces - SDF" in the countryside of Hasaka.
