President Barzani receives the Emir of the Yezidis and the Yezidi Spiritual Council

ARK News… President Masoud Barzani, on Sunday, April 21, 2024, received at the Salahuddin resort, Hazim Tahsin Beg, Emir of the Yezidis and the Yezidi Spiritual Council.

During the meeting, the guest delegation thanked President Barzani for his constant support for the Yezidis and his interest in the conditions and comfort of the Yezidis, the unity of their ranks, and achieving harmony and reconciliation among them, calling on President Barzani to continue his support for their demands and prevent all attempts aimed at sowing division and division among the Yezidis.

In turn, President Barzani stressed that the Yezidis are “an authentic, dear, and indivisible part of the people of Kurdistan” and demanded that the Yezidis adhere to their customs and traditions and “not allow extraneous and despicable side voices to penetrate into Yezidi society and distort it.” He also urged them to remain in the land of their fathers and grandfathers and not to leave it.

In addition to his reference to the efforts of some parties to appoint a prince for the Yezidis in Baghdad and to interfere in the affairs of the Yezidis, President Barzani stressed “doing everything possible to help and support the Yezidi sisters and brothers,” stressing that he will not allow extraneous and false matters to be imposed on the Yezidis.
